At a glance
Cosmicly collects the information needed to create a personal astrology and reflection experience: account details, birth and profile details, optional location, palm photos if you use palm reading, reflections or journal responses, subscription status, and basic diagnostics.
We use this information to run the app, personalize readings, send notifications you opt into, keep subscriptions working, and fix problems. We do not sell your data, run ads, use your personal data to train AI models, diagnose or classify health conditions, or track your location in the background.
You can delete your account in the app or contact us at the address below.
1. Who we are
Cosmicly is operated by Gunveer Sandhu, an individual sole proprietor doing business as Cosmicly, based at 16-B Sadul Ganj, Bikaner, Rajasthan 334001, India.
In this policy, "Cosmicly", "we", "us", and "our" refer to the operator of the Cosmicly mobile application and related services. "You" means the person using Cosmicly.

2. Scope
This policy applies to the Cosmicly mobile app, the Cosmicly website, and the backend services that support them. It does not apply to third-party websites, app stores, payment providers, or services that have their own privacy policies.
3. What we collect
3.1 Account information
- Email address, or the relay email provided by Sign in with Apple if you choose to hide your email.
- Login method and authentication tokens needed to keep you signed in.
- A random user ID used to connect your account records internally.
3.2 Birth and profile details
- Name.
- Date, time, and place of birth.
- Current city or timezone if you provide or permit it.
- Gender identity, pronouns, preferred language, and other profile settings you choose to provide.
These details are used to personalize your readings and app experience.
3.3 Content you create
- Reflection responses, journal entries, checklist interactions, ritual completions, and feedback you submit.
- Palm photos if you choose to use palm reading features.
- Support messages or bug reports you send to us.
3.4 Generated content
We store the readings, reports, summaries, prompts, and other personalized content generated for your account so you can view them in the app.
3.5 Location and device data
- Location only if you grant permission or manually choose a place. We use it to personalize timing and local context. We do not track your movement in the background.
- Device timezone, app version, platform, locale, and basic device information used for compatibility, diagnostics, and support.
- Push notification tokens if you opt into notifications.
3.6 Subscription information
Purchases are handled by Apple App Store In-App Purchase or Google Play Billing, with subscription status managed through RevenueCat. We receive entitlement status and related subscription metadata. We do not receive your full payment card details.
3.7 Telemetry
We collect limited analytics and crash diagnostics, such as app opens, screen views, error messages, stack traces, locale, device type, and app version. Reflection text, journal text, and generated readings are not intentionally included in crash logs.
3.8 What we do not collect
We do not collect your contact list, microphone recordings, calendar, health records, browsing history, background location, or advertising identifiers. We do not run third-party ads.
4. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Create and personalize your Cosmicly account.
- Generate and display readings, reports, prompts, and reflections.
- Remember your progress, preferences, journal entries, and completed rituals.
- Send notifications you have opted into.
- Manage subscriptions, free trials, and feature access.
- Provide support, investigate bugs, and improve reliability.
- Keep the app safe and prevent misuse.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We may use your reflections, journal responses, chart details, palm photos, and generated readings to personalize the reflective experience you request. We do not sell your personal information, use it to train AI models, or use it to diagnose, classify, or infer medical, mental-health, psychological, or therapeutic conditions.
5. AI-generated content
Cosmicly uses AI services to help generate personalized language for readings, reports, prompts, and reflections. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or inconsistent. Cosmicly is for personal reflection and entertainment only, not professional advice.
Your personal data is sent to AI services only as needed to provide the feature you requested. We do not use your personal data to train AI models, and we do not permit our AI providers to use it to train their general models.
6. Sharing and service providers
We share personal information only when needed to operate Cosmicly, comply with law, or protect rights and safety.
Current service providers include:
- Supabase for backend infrastructure, database, storage, authentication, and server-side functions.
- Google services, including Vertex AI and Firebase, for AI generation, analytics, crash reporting, messaging, and related infrastructure.
- RevenueCat for subscription entitlement management.
- Apple for Sign in with Apple, iOS notifications, App Store distribution, and in-app purchase processing.
- Google Play for Android distribution, Sign in with Google, notifications, and Play Billing.
These providers process information for us under their own terms, policies, and contractual obligations. We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, to respond to legal requests, or to protect users, the public, Cosmicly, or third parties.
We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
7. Legal bases for EEA, UK, and Swiss users
Where GDPR, UK GDPR, or Swiss data protection law applies, we rely on:
- Contract to create your account, provide the app, generate readings, manage subscriptions, and deliver requested features.
- Consent for location access, push notifications, palm photos, and any special-category profile details you choose to provide.
- Legitimate interests for security, fraud prevention, crash diagnostics, product analytics, and support.
- Legal obligation where we must retain or disclose information to comply with law.
You can withdraw consent at any time through device settings, app settings, or by contacting us.
8. Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide Cosmicly, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Typical retention:
- Account, profile, birth details, generated readings, reflections, and journal entries: until you delete them or delete your account.
- Palm photos: until you replace them, request deletion, or delete your account.
- Subscription records: while your account exists, and longer if required for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, or dispute purposes.
- Push tokens: until you disable notifications, sign out, or delete your account.
- Crash diagnostics: generally kept by Firebase Crashlytics for 90 days before removal from live and backup systems begins.
- Product analytics: user-level and event-level analytics are kept according to our configured Firebase/Google Analytics retention setting, which is no more than 14 months for standard properties, then deleted or aggregated according to provider controls.
When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information from active systems within a reasonable period, unless we must retain limited records for legal, security, or accounting reasons. Backups may take additional time to expire.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, object to, or withdraw consent for certain processing of your personal information.
You can:
- Update many account and profile details in the app.
- Delete your account in the app from Profile > Delete Account.
- Contact us at [email protected] to request access, correction, deletion, export, or other privacy help.
If you live in the EEA, UK, Switzerland, California, Brazil, or another place with privacy rights, we will honor applicable rights according to the law that applies to your request. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
10. Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information, including access controls, encrypted transport, provider security controls, and least-privilege access where practical. No service can be perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If we learn of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify you and regulators where required by law.
11. Children's privacy
Cosmicly is not intended for children under 13. If your country requires a higher minimum age for digital consent, that higher age applies. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will take appropriate action.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Cosmicly changes. If the change is material, we will provide notice in the app, on the website, or by another reasonable method. The "Last updated" date shows when this policy was last changed.
